Youth & Childrens Ministry

We are committed to reaching out to families and young children in our community. Families face many challenges and we believe a spiritual foundation is a healthy basis on which families can build in the 21st Century.

• Seaside Junior Church, Sundays 9:30am.
• Beach Babes Mondays and Tuesdays Fortnightly 9:15am.
• XLR8 YOUTH 6:30PM - 8:30PM weekly for Grades 6 - 8.

SCHOOL CHAPLAINCY IN LOCAL SCHOOLS

This is a Scripture Union based ministry that places Chaplains in Primary and High Schools in our district. We financially and prayerfully support Stuart White, who is a 5-day a week Chaplain at Caloundra High School.

CARE TO QUILT

Is an initiative of our ladies who love to Quilt but don't need anymore quilts of their own. Partnering with Churches of Christ Care in Queensland they meet fortnightly to produce quilts for Children in Foster Care. They stitch "in love" because to many of the children, their specially made quilt is the only possession they have.

In conjunction with Churches of Christ Overseas Aid (COCOA) we provide Child support.

HCJB World Radio

Derek fills two roles with HCJB:

HCJB Australia Program Manager:- responsible for the program content being broadcast from the shortwave transmitters in Kununurra to the Asia Pacific Region.

HCJB Asia Pacific Programming and Training Director:- responsible for the development of program partnerships in the Asia Pacific Region and researching future delivery systems as well as responsibility for the management of training staff located in Singapore and the further development of the media training curriculum.

SAMARITAN'S PURSE

The mission of Samaritan's Purse is focused on International Relief and has as its President, Franklin Graham. We support the operation "Christmas Child" arm of the mission by preparing "shoe box gifts" for underprivileged children each Christmas.

AFRICAN MISSION

This mission is a joint venture of Churches of Christ in Australia and New Zealand that ministers in Zimbabwe, supporting orphanages, church planting, local pastor, self help programmes etc. Opportunity is given to visit the field as part of a team.

We support Obert and Elizabeth. Obert ministers to eleven congregations in the rural areas including Somabhula, Shangani and Gweru. Obert has use of a motor bike which allows him to minister more effectively to the congregations in his circuit.

We support the Madzore family. Themba ministes to the Mberengwa Circuit comprising four churches, Mberengwa, Crome Draai and Shauro. Themba also has use of a motor bike which allows him to minister more effectively to the congregations in his circuit.

INTERNATIONAL TEAMS GLASGOW

We support the Cottrell family who are ministering to refugees from various countries in Glasgow, Scotland. International Teams ministers to refugees through a range of assistance programmes. For many refugees this is their first contact outside of their own country.
