Key Note Speaker - Ward Tanneberg

Ward Tanneberg We welcome Ward and his wife Dixie back for a return visit with us. Ward and Dixie are from Washington State USA where Ward is President and Executive Director of CASA Network. CASA is a leader in the field of equipping people who serve in 'Second Half Ministries'. Dixie Tanneberg
Ward has extensive experience in pastoral ministry and is a great communicator. Ward will also be the guest speaker at a Fresh Horizons Conference the day before the Seniors Convention. Fresh Horizons is a ministry that is committed to training, resourcing and encouraging people who are interested in working with active people in life's second half. It has been birthed out of Caloundra Church of Christ but is a Kingdom focussed ministry. Fresh Horizons can help you set up a Regional Seniors Convention in your area or establish or revitalize a seniors ministry in your local church.

  • Maleny Dairy Farm Tour: Maleny Dairies is a family owned business situates in the picturesque hills of Maleny. The Hopper family have been on the farm since 1948. In that time they have gained an enviable reputation with their herd of Guernsey cows and their state of the at milk factory. Come on a tour through the dairy where the cows and goats are milked. pat the baby farm animals and check out the factory. Number are limited to 100 for this tour.
  • QLD Air Museum Tour: The QLD Air Museum was established in 1974 in Brisbane and moved to its home in Caloundra in 1986. It is the largest civil and military air museum in Australia. Boasting over 40 complete aircraft in its collection as well as as well as static displays and memorabilia. See the Spitfire, F86-Sabre, the oldest DC3 in Australia and plenty more. Numbers are not limited for this tour.

Alternative Attendance: (if you can't come full time)
$20 pp p/day Day sessions only - ie NO dinner or night activities
$35 pp p/night Dinners and Night activities only

Evening Programmes

  • FRIDAY: 6pm for 6.30 sitting. You can put on your country gear for a 'Back to the Farm' night. Enjoy a good meal, a lot of fun and a good old fashioned concert. This event will be held at the Church.
  • SATURDAY: 6pm for 6.30 sitting. You can dress up in your 'Good Gear' and head off down to the Events Centre for an elegant dinner. Our guest for the evening will be Jeff Lawrence the 'Story Catcher'. Jeff is a biblical story teller who will bring to life the stories of the Bible in a new and fresh way. This event will be held at The Events Centre, Caloundra.
